Mitch Gallagher sits down with Nick Bowcott from Marshall to learn about their new line of 1-watt amplifiers. Covering five decades of Marshall amplification, these limited edition combos and amp heads are designed the capture the sound of classic Marshall amps. First out of the gate is the '60s-voiced JTM-1, and you can check it out right here: http://bit.ly/sw_JTM1amps

  • He's using way too much bass on the jtm1

  • To the haters:

Watch the NAMM videos with the amp heads plugged into the 4x12's and you'll really get to hear what these things are made of. Yes they may be somewhat expensive but dang under the right settings these things rock!

  • @rshull07

This demo makes them sound bad but they sound amazing in the other videos.

  • Prices, please.

  • I have heard and seen the heads paired with a 4x12 cab, and they sound VERY different from what we hear in this video. Do not be misled, this is a bad representation of Marshall product. Bad production, very bad playing. It would turn me off too. How this video was ever deemed worthy of release is beyond me.

So, check it out in person if you can before you render verdict on the sound. Price? That's another topic all together. I'm not going there, but again, the sound LIVE is killer!

  • Very interesting. Good video ! And amps are so nice. Happy birthday Marshall ! And Thanks for all these 5 five decades of rock !

  • Some of you people are so RUDE, keep your nasty comments to yourselves.

  • i met Nick Bowcott several years ago when he was touring from store to store, supporting Marshall products. he's a great guy, and a lot of fun to have a couple of brews with. don't blame Nick for Marshall's marketing faux-pas. his gig isn't as easy as it appears, but it sure beats hell out of my job... rock on, Nick!

  • dear Marshall, those days when the brand logo was enough to sell are over. let's just face it: these amps are crap!

  • 41 secs into this and I can't stands it no mo!
