Μου έκανε εντύπωση που για να ξεκινήσει το γυρνάμε με το χέρι, και για να σταματήσει εμποδίζουμε την κίνηση (και δεν ξαναξεκινάει), μου έκανε εντύπωση και που το κλείνουν σαν κουτί.

Hi there, it's bakelite for sure.
We own one, its a 952A, known in Holland as the hatbox (hoedendoos), one of the very early record players.
It has a leather strap, making it portable to parties in those days.
No batteries of course, it runs on 220 V.
Ours is for sale, going price 400 Euro's.

Does it only play 78's or does it play other speeds as well?

Thanks for sharing this beauty. I have never seen such product.
There are some modern tt's that seem to take its' "cue" from thsi model. What's it made out of -bakelite?? or metal?
