  • SUCH A SEXY PHONOGRAPH. DAS WANT!

  • Very beautiful! Philips was such a innovative company! They even invent the CD!

Hi there, it's bakelite for sure.

We own one, its a 952A, known in Holland as the hatbox (hoedendoos), one of the very early record players.

It has a leather strap, making it portable to parties in those days.

No batteries of course, it runs on 220 V.

Ours is for sale, going price 400 Euro's.

  • Does it only play 78's or does it play other speeds as well?

  • Thanks for sharing this beauty. I have never seen such product.

There are some modern tt's that seem to take its' "cue" from thsi model. What's it made out of -bakelite?? or metal?

  • i'ts like darth vaders vintage record player
