At the end of the annual performance by the Royal Ballet School at the Royal Opera House, Covent Garden, the Grand Defile is performed to to Karl Czerny's Etudes Op 740 No.37. Pupils from each of the eight years in the school perfom a short piece. What they dance becomes technically harder with each year, culminating in the Graduate Class's technical brilliance.
