The rollicking good spirited music of De Dannan fitted to a collage of beautiful old photographs of Galway city, interspersed with session footage of De Danann playing at Neachtains in Galway city and on a boat in the Galway canal.

  • Fantastic music. This is one (if not the) best trad lineups ever. Does anyone know the name of the waltz from ~4mins in.

  • One of the tunes is known as "Boys of Malin".

  • Not a great recording - top-heavy bodhran! Shame, but great playing no doubt. The best session recording I've ever heard is from Neachtain's on a CD carrying the pub's name, from the late 90's; it's "Gerry Ward's" followed by "Out on the ocean" - absolutely brutal!

  • @kfh51 It's "La Valse Joyeuse", a French-Canadian tune.

  • @Sumptayum are you a biscuit fridge from outer space?

  • Anyone got a name for that jig? Rad tune.

  • Line up is

    Fiddle: Frankie Gavin

    Banjo: Charlie Pigott

    Accordion: Jackie Daly

    Bouzouki: Alec Finn

    Bodhran: Johnny 'Ringo' McDonagh

  • Can some one tell me the line up on this video, best stuff from band I have heard.

    Thanks for posting
