It looks like I have been posting these behind the scene fireworks videos for over a year because I am starting to lap my self with this one. Last year this Castle Shannon fireworks display was one of my more popular videos so I figured I would try it again. This will be my first video using two camcorders to record the action. One will be at the pyrotechnician level the other in the air with the display. I will not be showing the entire display just selected highlights due to time limitations. The fireworks display company featured in this display is Pyrotechnico from New Castle Pennsylvania. New Castle Pennsylvania is recognized as the Fireworks Capital of United States.
Thanks to Tim and John from Pyrotecnico for letting us enjoy watching them work as we continue to explore the inner world of pyrotechnics.

  • great footage! do you know how much his show ran for?

  • I really do not know the price buy my guess is it was less than 10k

  • wow, I watched all 3 videos, was really cool to see how the show is all setup and carried out. I take firework photography as well as lightning photos, severeidaho[dot]com. I am definetely subscribing to keep up with all of your videos. How long have you been into pyrotechnics? From what I watched today I already am getting the bug of wanting to see more and more videos of firework show setup , etc. Thanks for posting the videos.

  • I have been into pyrotechnics around 11 years. I am trying to video behind the scene footage of how fireworks are done. I never realized how much I was into it until I started to document it all.

  • hmm why dont they use firing systems?

  • It adds time , extra labor and expense to a small low budget display.

  • @86Bucsfan Bengalos i think or some other pyrotechnic torches that can´t be blown out

  • What are they using to light the fireworks?

  • SHOWTIME :)

  • @lightfire33 depending on the caliber and the effect, I mean like a 4inch salute would do much more damage than a 3inch falling leaves shell or something. With falling leaves and that kind of stuff I would give it a 1 on the screwed scale. But with a 4inch salute I would give it a 11 on your scale. I have once seen a 6inch shell which flowerpotted, it was a miracle no one was hit by the stars, a van which was about 50 mtrs from that tube had a hole pierced in it.

  • on a scale from 1-10 how screwed would those guys be if one of those shells didn't leave the tube ?

  • all i can say is WOW great footage!!!!!

    I don't understand... haha.

10k for this show!?!?! That's more than the NYE shown in my home town is! It's electronicly fired, have quite a bit of cakes, and the biggest shell is 8". .I think it's 8".. 6 minute show. I have the show on my channel . That is a true example on how expensive fireworks is in Norway. 10$ for a simple 25 shot ged and green consumer cake.

  • The plastic around each shell is to keep shell dry if it encounters moisture before being fired. The plastic is super thin and light. If the shell got "damaged" during shipping so would the cheap plastic wrap. Shell is much stronger than the plastic, if shell encountered a force strong enough to damage it, the plastic would have no chance of protecting the shell. According to a spokesperson for the Grucci family. Might be used to catch leaking chemicals for another company?
