@antonio610: Well, MP made a career out of single strokes. So,that just sums up what kind of legend he is. Not to mention the technicality of progressive music requires a musiciant to know more than that. W/c means, he went throughout his career w/ only singles and occasional doubles.

As far as MM is concerned, I met him 2008 here in the Philippines. He's an incredible drummer and yes, his skills far outmatches MP.

My point is MP is a one of a kind drummer. MM has a lot of mad skills.

Mike Portnoy = great attitude and emotion... + one characteristic that all drummers nowadays look over... MP is the master of the single stroke roll.
