  • I wonder why they never asked Pernell Roberts to be in Bonanza-The next Generation?

  • I believe thay did ask him, but he turned them down.

  • I guess that means it touched you sort of in a nice way.

  • I've never seen any of this next generation stuff before (not sure we had it in the UK). As a matter of interest, who was Josh's mother? What was the story? Thanks for posting.

  • I will post a short clip explaining who Josh's mother is. Keep an eye out. It would be nice if they would make the Bonanza series more available on DVD there and here.

  • I'll certainly keep an eye out. Yes, I agree, it would be nice if Bonanza was more available for us all, but thank you very much for sharing, it's much appreciated :)

  • LittleSister60, check out Josh, son of Hoss that I just posted. This explains a little about who Josh's mother was, what her name was and where Josh came from.

  • Hey, let's throw in a black guy, a young girl, an aussie bloke plus someone who bears a passing resemblance to Hoss and a old man who is Ben's "other brother" and call it......

    "Bonanza: The Next Generation"....

Wow. There were so many other ways that this could have been told A LOT BETTER. The whole backstory to this feels very tacked on. It's as if the writers had twenty minutes to come up with a "plausible" means to fill in the missing years and this was the end result.

    Thank you - NEXT!!!

  • @BonanzaDude553 That doesn't surprise me...he always felt he was too good for Bonanza anyway. I never did like the character of Adam anyway. He never seemed to fit in.

  • Pernell did some of his best acting on Bonanza but I've read that he hates being remembered for this show. It's to bad because that was a great Cast with great writing.

  • I love Bonanza but I have never seen any of these shows.

  • Well, that made me cry.
