chamber orchestras could do fine without a conductor... a 10 musician max. group, with good musicians, could deal with each other ok... but up from that number starts getting complicated... and a big orchestras needs a conductor for sure, or at least could get a lot of help with one.

many chamber orchestras do. often a conductor can be a hindrence to togetherness and personality. but not for this piece.

there's absolutelly not a single way in hell any orchestra in the world could play as well as it would with a conductor without a conductor...
