Monique Coleman danced the Samba with Louis Van Amstel. Carrie Ann Inaba said "That energy was fantastic, you blew me away." Len Goodman said "It was all cheese, no burger, didn't like it." Bruno Tonioli said "Well, I appreciate the wild child, and wild you were...very,very wild...but you've lost the Samba." Monique and Louis received a judges' score of 23 out of 30 points.

I adore Monique, and I know she isn't the one to blame, but you really shouldn't be marking as spam comments that are right! This, though a great dance, isn't samba. I don't even think the music is correct for this type of dance. Monique in an incredible dancer, but the dance was badly thought out. Who creates the dances for the show? Do they have a coreographer or is the professional dancer who comes up with the stuff? I'm from Portugal, so I don't know... Nevertheless, MoMo, you rock!

I think it was the song, It isn't really a samba song. But yes, the professional dancer does create the choerography.

And I just learned that the dancers don't get to pick the music, they're given the song by the show (the producers?) - which I think isn't fair because some couples get GREAT songs that really match the style of dance (example: Tia Carrere tango Season 2) they're supposed to be performing and some couples get songs that don't really go with their assigned dance style (feel free to correct me if I'm wrong)

You are right. Like when Apolo and Julianne had to tango to "Jesse's Girl", which is definatly not a tango song.

What impressed me is HOW MAY NOT KNOW NOTHING OF CULTURE OF A COUNTRY AND STILL WANT TO SUBMIT SOMETHING RIGHT AS FOSSE. This is not SAMBA. NO WAY!!
