  • There must be a misunderstanding about his nationality. Gagarin was Soviet-RUSSIAN, he was born in Klushino, a village in Smolensk Oblast, RUSSIA (Клушино - Смол́енская о́бласть) - the region is rather near to Belarus and has nothing to do with Armenia or the Caucasus area!

  • I changed the beginning of the video to reflect this true information.

  • @begins632 omg! X) Why you desided that he was armenian?

  • @phobbb Everyone knows Yuri Gagarin was Russian. The Armenian anthem is not meant to imply that Yuri Gagarin was Armenian, it's just good background music. Thanks for your comment.

  • All this was possible because of Sergei Korolyov.

  • @ekty first of all TCHIOLKOVSKI!!!!!!!

  • wow amazing! hi from mexico

  • As of 2011, only three nations have flown manned spacecraft: USSR/Russia, USA, and China

  • "What country was first in sending a man who completed the first space flight?", the answer would be the United States of America. Unlike the American craft, which came down in the ocean, the Russian spacecraft came down on land, and as they

  • couldn't guarantee just how hard the landing would be, the pilot ejected during the final descent and came down on his own parachute. Under international rules, that meant that the pilot did not complete the flight! It was years before the Russians finally admitted this is what had happened, but it means that the first person to complete a space flight was, strictly speaking, Alan Shepard

  • Technically, it could be argued that this wasn't the first successful space flight, because Gagarin didn't successfully land with his spacecraft. He ejected out of it and it crashed to the ground. Nevertheless, he was without a doubt the first man in space and the first to orbit earth.

  • this guy has given me inspiration, he's short just like me and our birthday is 6 days apart =D

  • Thanx Russia..;))

  • "The Earth is Bluuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuueeeeeeeeeeeeee" EPIC
