i don't ever use a pick. but that's my style. some genres sound good with a pick. but those genres don't have bass lines that interest me at all. p.s. all this guy is doing is demonstrating techniques. watching him play makes me bored. the only thing i like about this video is the fish eye camera

precisley what i was thinking. only bucket head is actually really creative on his instrument, and produces great guitar solos.

yeah i personally am uncoordinated with a pick and i perfer using no picks but yeah i know some bassists that really own using a pick.

i dont think that he is using a pick. he is using his nail as a pick. but i guess you zoned out because you imediately shut off once you saw that he might be using a pick believing that it is imposible for decent music to be made with a pick.
