Created by Dana Kotler and Joy Gibson, two dancers/medical students at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine, this film attempts to reconstruct, in painstaking detail, an action potential from dendrite to synaptic bouton. 30 medical student performers portray dendrites, post-synaptic potentials, ion channels, neurotransmitter, and of course, myelin. Original music, "The Dendrite of Spring," was composed by Mark Goldin.
