  • All Phil Gleniter fans should watch this. Just get past the opening 2 minutes and the rest of it is a great insight into how Phil was thought of in this role by both the people he worked with and the public.

    Excellent video! RECOMMENDED!!

  • Philip Glenister. He's brilliant, in 'Vanity Fair'. Thanks for this clip..I'd not seen it !

  • The fact it is keeley talking about phil is so bizzare. Love them both. x x

  • As Keeley Hawes explains... Some men just have that certain je ne cest quoi

and Philip Glenister has it in spades.

A true star in the making.

Whatever human qualities his role requires ... Phil has them, and he delivers. Every, single time!

imo, he totally stole the stage as Dobbins, in Vanity Fair.

    Just an amazing presence.

  • Daniela Denby-Ashe looks so cute here, while reminiscing Mr Thornton :)

  • hehehe.

    Keeley Hawes narrating Philip Glenister.

    Love it XD

  • @minininja14 Yea it is

  • i think the narrator is keeley hawes.......??

  • i've seen clips of this documentary posted but can't seem to find the entire thing. do you know where i could watch all the episodes?

  • What an entertaining little clip this is! I'd heard a few of the anecdotes about the making of the 1998 Vanity Fair, but it was entertaining to hear them again. It's wonderful too that the snippet of the 2007 Cranford series was included, as Philip Glenister was wonderful in that as well.

  • JJ Feild as Mr Tilney in Northanger Abbey (2007). The best of those recent Austen adaptations.

  • Who is that on 0:06??
