@BrothaHood70 The only thing the current car is lacking, is a paddle shifter. Once you add a paddle shifter, you can do everything in the auto, that you can do in the manual.

@429mas it seams like you have no idea about drag racing manuals are one full second faster your a funny guy.thats why 99.99% drag cars are autos.

@beefcakescobra can a paddle shifter on an automatic drop into second gear from neutral?
On a manual with paddle shifters there are servos that actuate the clutch and shift the gear box, basically shifting by wire. Paddles on an automatic are simply another way of placing the vehicle into drive, reverse ect, such as the difference between a shifter on the steering column or on the floor. The valve body in an auto trans has a cutback valve that controls shifting into various gears at rev

@beefcakescobra Man, that's burning up that QM! Sounds like you hit the sweet spot with that tire size and PSI combo. I'm sure I can knock the ETs down by going to a drag radial but then I wonder how long the stock clutch will last with that kind of HP hooking hard. I guess that's another advantage to running an automatic, you don't have to worry about that, but I do love powershifting through the gears... adds to the adrenaline rush!
I know I'm going to sound stupid for this but....can anyone explain how to properly run on the track? Auto and Manual. I've never been too sure if you just give it all the gas once you take off or what. Can anyone please explain? I'm still pretty new to this...

@flattoprulez It would depend on the car. I have a stall converter and get it to about 3500 rpms and then mash it. With a slick car on slicks, i will typically dump it around 5k or so. On stock parts, that may not go over so well though.

Why not use a ratchet shifter and rebuild the valve body for manual operation? Unless you like having both hands on the wheel going that quick. BTW nice ride, these new cars are getting out of hand these days, not that i'm complaining.

@Temptuous2112 There isn't currently anything available as of right now. I know for the 13 models. The select shift is going to be an option on the cars which will be nice. Not necessarily for the drag strip, but for spirited driving for sure.

beefcake your a dealer and you make stupid comments about how autos are slower than sticks yea ok thats why my wife ran a 13.3 with our fully load 2012 mustang 5.0 last night and a guy with a bos 302 ran a 15 and a 14.6 the whole night regardless of good driver bad driver these autos are way better and now that I know your lack of knowledge I would'nt do business with you if you were the only dealer.

@07VortechGT I am not sure what you are referring too. Stock for stock on sticky tires, the Stick will beat an automatic simply because of the ability to launch higher rpms. However, once you start modding the auto cars they are beasts. This was my car running 10's. Now it's running 9's with the factory automatic. I am a huge fan of the automatic cars. Not exactly sure where your comment comes from.
