A lot of fire arms have safety triggers now a days, either way when you are trying to quick draw you rarely try and disarm the safety while you are at it. Most law enforcement departments with the exception of secret service and such aren't even trained to turn the safety off as they draw, only after when they are sure they will need to fire.
