RIP John Barry, for my money, the best composer of my lifetime. Besides the fantastic James Bond scores he created, he also composed the music for dozens of other films. His sound was unmistakable and before I ever saw his name in the credits, I knew if a score was his. I shall miss his contribution to the arts.

I like coming back here... I think you picked some of the finest pieces of music ever written, and I reflected that I felt sad to think no more will be written. Each piece has a way of you not wanting them to end.

A remarkable composer of our modern day era! Most people have heard of Mozart, Beethoven..but due to breakthroughs in new instruments, trends..etc. this kind of music, (used mainly as scores/soundtracks for movies) has lost popularity with many. I am learning to love this type of music as a younger individual. Check out his 1976 King Kong soundtrack...the strong and romantic scores in it are really good!! All this is really good! Amazing, totally underrated!!

This, is a really lovely tribute, Bruce. Those horns/trumpets (?) have a very distinctive sound to them, always the brass is strong and bold, whilst the orchestra dances and blends... beautiful, beautiful, relaxing, tranquil stuff - and then there's the exciting thriller themes. I was so relaxed with the gentle pieces that Goldfinger actually made me jump in my seat! :D
Love this :)
RIP John Barry - may you continue to touch the hearts of many through your legacy.
