Jeddah rain drawns a 15 meters depth cross bridge

25th November 2009, Jeddah has faced its biggest rain nigthmare, the rain started early morning and continued till after 12:00pm drawning Gowaiza district and many main roads in the city. I had the chance to record Wali alahd street the new cross bridg where you can see clearly the water level cover the 15 meters depth under bridge.. that was scary.. total death toll so far recorded to be 84 with many injuries and property damages..

This is not a result of sinful behavior. Rain is a blessing. Jeddah is a really hot city and it really needs this rain. What the country needs is a drainage system. Just image the vegetation the country can grow with this climate change.
