This is my 1.2GHz uplink to the K6BEN amateur television hilltop repeater. This downlink seen here is from K6BEN station on 421 MHz (cable channel 57) that transmits throughout the south SF bay area. Real TV not cellphone or internet cam (except this youtube uplink is a video file taken from the VCR). I finally got my transmitter repaired so here I am! Audio uplink is a 2-way radio but I am using my Heil microphone modeled after a ENG anchorman mic (so I can be like the big boys). I also showed a couple photos of television station studios from the 1950s.

  • Great video, I am starting to look into HAM TV side of things as I'm a vintage TV camera collector from downunder n wanna eventually do HAM TV with my 60s/70s vidicon cameras. Anyways thought I'd boast that I have one of those cameras depicted in your 1st pic, it's a Marconi MKIII, mine's from ATN-7 Sydney, those cameras were used in Australia from 1956-1974 before we got colour. The camera in the 2nd pic the RCA TK-11 I am so lookin for one of those, they were used in Australia too!

  • @troysvisualarts You remind me of Labguy (youtube user videolabguy), he has tons of pre-VHS pre-Beta video recorder equipment, he recently became involved with our ATV group and we have been asking for a tour of his museum for one of our ATV nets. He has uploaded videos of some of his equipment.
