Walt Disney World: Past, Present and Future - Part 1

This is part one of five of Walt Disney World: Past, Present and Future. It's a special on Walt Disney World that aired on the Disney channel in either late 1991 or early 1992, commemorating WDW's 20th anniversary with John Lithgow as the host.

It's a bit outdated, being from the early 90's and all, but I still think of it as the best Disney World special made to this day. It had a great host, was very informational, and was actually on the Disney Channel. Plus, it's also from the 20th Anniversary of the park, when I had my first visit there. It's a lot of memories.

Included in this part are the opening introductions and a brief history of the opening of Disneyland and its impact to which Disney World was created. As stated by John Lithgow, "There never would've been a Disney World, if there hadn't been a Disneyland."

One other thing, I also kept the old Disney channel openings on this video too. I thought that was a neat nostalgic experience. I wish the Disney Channel still had specials like this.

I agree disney channel is not the same! They should play more shows like this they have the stupidest shows out now! like Fish Hooks and Sonny with a Chance! What happened to like That's So Raven and Lizzle McGuire? Like if u agree! <3

I used to live 15 minutes away from WDW- And I loved it so dearly- still do! I wish I still lived nearby. :) I love these programs, I wish I had been alive when Disney Channel was decent. ^_^

Your info on this video series says it all. I had recorded this special on VHS when it first aired way back when, and it was always my favorite. I watched it so many times the tape was worn out. I also honeymooned at WDW in Sept. 1991, unforgettable! I too wish Disney would make more specials like this.
