One Friend is band made up of two young musicians, one of whom is a student at the University of York and the other a young person from the York area. They met through through the PACT Project in York, a project run by the Children's Society that links up students with disabled young people in and around York. Through their work One Friend address the issues important to young people such as friendship and family - and how important these are in both good times and bad. They hope to raise awareness and promote a positive image of disability, and show that it doesn't need to prevent you from enjoying yourself and being a young achiever!
