Famous and genuinely harrowing PIF from 1996, co-opting John Hannah's reading in Four Weddings and a Funeral of that WH Auden poem that no-one can agree on the title of, over the top of genuine home video footage of dead children.
Incidentally I love that Kill Your Speed hand logo. The animation's so smooth and the silence so profound it was almost unbearably moving when used properly. Fantastic, if passive-agressisve, endline as well; as TetrisGuy put it, this comes from a brief period where COI were "competing with TAC for sheer balls out contempt with their endlines". (Sorry that comment's disappeared by the way; "remove" is too damn close to "reply" in the new layout)
For added LOLZ, overdub this video with Richard E.Grant's 'How like a God' speech from the end of Withnail and I.

Don't worry about it - I was pretty rude about the poem ;) It would be boring if everyone liked the same thing.

Ah - sorry - I feel completely rude now.
Safe to say I'm quite fond of this poem and did do English.
:)

I hate poetry in general. If that makes me ignorant, so be it.
piflover 3 years ago
That would be a safe assumption. I did Maths, Business Studies and History.

'crap...crap'.
So with this level of eloquence, is it safe to assume you didn't go on to study English at A level...?

You're quite ignorant. As I've experienced it myself I can tell you that studying even the best of poems and books etc. makes you hate them, because it turns enjoying them into work. Why do you think so many people hate "To Kill A Mocking Bird"?

I studied the poem for English GCSE under the title "Funeral Blues" ...
It was a crap poem then and it's a crap poem now. I do like this PIF, though.
