You are no doubt in my mind the greatest organ player I have ever heard in my life. From Mt. Vernon MBC in Memphis to this day. The way you played Is Your All on The Alter for that chior was amaziing. GOD Bless You!!!
Mr Lofton I really enjoy your playing. I along with my Pastor at the time E. Howard came to see you play at a church on jefferon st. As a learning musician Pastor howard taught me the importance of melody etc. Pastor Howard being an organist taught me the importance of clean spirit filled playing. That I can say you do very well one of the best
Thanks for the compliment. I think melody is soo important in expressing an instrumental piece. I'm Old School & I've been doing this for a many years. And if people can't recognize what you're playing, then to me you're just playing a bunch of notes. Don't get me wrong, I appreciate the fingering all over the place & more power to anybody that can do it, but makes sure there's some melody in there somewhere.
Many won't see the greatness in your playing b/c you kept it fairly simple. Not alot or crazy runs and dumb stuff that takes away God's glory to the man. Great job sir....
@williajo21 Thank U soo very much. U went back a many years. LOL. Again, Thanks...
