for all the sceptics there is approximatly a halfe ounce of gold in every four pounds of metal in computers. this includes cell phones, moniters , key pads, cards , mother boards etc. it takes many computers for this to be profitable. however , older televisions and newer ones yield a lot of recyclables . older tv units have a lot of copper as well as the traditional moniters we now use . this includes flat screen televisions as well . there is nothing hazzardous in the newer electronics! they are lead free. its the older ancient televisions that have the traditional lead solder.. your local government s that sponser the computer recycling programs are not telling you , that for thier support they receive an amount of money from the greedy corporations who whisk your assets away alledgedly because they are conmtaminents. unless you bake a cake with the circuit boards or include it in a drink there is nothing to fear since there is no longer lead in newer computer equipment. communities give up hundreds of thousands of dollars to these greenies who come in big moving vans to take community assets awat. scools can be funded, hot meals can be funded . police and fire can be funded, homeless shelters all can be funded with this resource. today a ton of circuit boards can fetch 120,ooo.oo dollars for instance, because of the price of gold presantly . peladium and silver on the rise , platinum all this is included in the computer parts. start community drives to reclaim your community wealth going out the door each time a greeny truck roles into town . organize and pick up your own communities wealth now more then ever . after all you pay each time you buy anything electronic a recycling fee that is included in the price of the electronics when you purchess them . send the dismanteled parts to a co who will deal directly with you to pay you for the circuit boards and wire and plugs, everything in your computers is worth money. send me a message and i will tell you the names of companies you can deal with not your local scrap yards. they do not pay well!!

  • i used to do this on the daily, i get your point, but that was not 5 pounds you weighed on your hands, more like 3, also i did more than twice got those piece of "coper gold" materials inside a microwave, i just never new it had gold in it, i thought long and hard about it, didn't look like brass or copper, but i doubted it had gold, it looked like some sort of scrubbing metal sponge, is that what your talking about?

  • Thanks for the add! I scrapped out 7 TV's today. I almost have a 5 gallon bucket filled with copper from yokes and de-gausers. I reclaim as much as I can from so many things that people just throw away these days. I have been doing this for the last two years now, and I appreciate the videos that you have on youtube. I can give you a little secret that I use for trimming all of the insulated wires... Tin snips. Use a tin snips for trimming the insulated wire, I makes your job a lot easier!

  • The title should be "monitors." I absolutely love your videos and I know you are both intelligent people. You have to pay more attention to spelling in your vids before you immortalize them on youtube. It takes from your credibility. You videos are my guilty pleasure. I have seen every one. I love watchin you give people hell. Rock on father and son!
