Thief on the Cross

Luke 23:39-43 tells us about the thief on the Cross:
[39] One of the criminals who hung there hurled insults at him: "Aren't you the Christ? Save yourself and us!"
[40] But the other criminal rebuked him. "Don't you fear God," he said, "since you are under the same sentence?
[41] We are punished justly, for we are getting what our deeds deserve. But this man has done nothing wrong."
[42] Then he said, "Jesus, remember me when you come into your kingdom."
[43] Jesus answered him, "I tell you the truth, today you will be with me in paradise."

John 3:16,17 states: 16"For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son,[a] that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. 17For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him."

Christians celebrate the death and resurrection of Christ this Sunday, March 23rd as "Resurrection Sunday" and it goes back to the beginnings of Christianity.

It is probably the oldest Christian observance we know about today. It represents a time of rebirth, new beginnings and the magic of spring.
But for Christians to celebrate "RESURRECTION SUNDAY" the rising of our Lord from the dead, now that is something to celebrate!!! Glory to God!!
