I love this! It's a peppy tune, but at the same time so wonderfully sentimental.

Genia, sorry, a mistake again.Unfortunately, it's not a "hat tie" you bought for Rudy in Berlin (whatever "hat tie" can mean) but "that tie"!!!

This is just wonderful !! A great addition to my "favourites" list.
Thank you for sharing.

Great music! But that`s not Valentino singing, aren`t it?

Genia, look at hat tie you bought for him at the Raiser's in Berlin (2:28), how perfectly it matches him! Congratulations!

Yes, The nick The Radiolites could certainly serve either of the bands: Sam Lanin or Ben Selvin. Before uploading, I was thinking for a minute which one to choose for my note and I finally decided: Sam Lanin. Ben Selvin seems to my ear somewhat sharper, there's more "big-band" and jazzy style in his arrangements, while Sam Lanin is, as it seems to me, more sophisticated, he likes longer instrumental solos etc. I can be wrong, I'm not a specialist but just an amateur fan of hot dance bands :-)
Exuberant and sparkling orchestration and glowing vocal. And marvellous photos of the legendary Sheik of Araby. I love the photo at 0:56 (the real Rudolph) and the caption on 1:22 "If I had a man like Valentino" :)

D., I agree, that photo at 0:52 is exquisite! And - how rare, in that decade of the Great Perversions hidden behind the screen of the Greatest Hypocrisy

Hi Bill3murr, and thanks for your comment. There's a controversy who, actually, hides here under The Radiolites: Sam Lanin or Ben Selvin? I vote for Lanin. Do you have any knowledge about that?
