great video i grew up in brighton and we would put on are pj load up the old station wagon almost every sat night in the summer time went on my first date with the guy i married to see texas chainsaw massacre.i have wonderful memories of this place how about the tastee freeze and the little skipper .great time
Now why would anyone put up a video of an old decrepit Drive-in? But I'm glad you did, for it was my Grandfather-Charles Anderson who owned it during its best years-the 50's and 60's, I have some very fond memories, I think I saw Mary Poppins for the first time there! Thanks again for the memories.
Good to see this video. Unfortunately it didn't take long for people to trash that concession stand. I never got to go there while it was open, but did walk the grounds in the aftermath. Thanks for posting.
I grew up near this Drive In and would go every other weekend in the summers when visiting my mom. Island lake was the best! I LOVE MICHIGAN! Hi to all I knew!
This was great to see. I grew up there, saw Godzilla when it came out,Gold Finger,Lets Getogether, and so many movies. 1950's and 1960's There was a little merry go round and swings that we could play on before it got dark, ( in our PJs too) what fun. Dating there in highschool. I remember the popcorn stand, thanks for showing it. Love looking close at the speakers! They recycled from Walled lake! Thanks! Have any more? A girl I went to school with, T. P. her Aunt and Uncle owned it then.

I grew up on Island Lake and went there all the time. The year I was old enough to "car date" it closed. I was sooooooooooo bummed! Great memories!
