  • im gonna give lord gyllene credit. prior to the national, he won over 4m 2f beating mudahim, who won the racing post chase next time, from king lucifer (next start kim muir winner) mudahim had also won the irish national 7 days before the re staged grand, so he had serious form in the book there lord gyllene.

  • o sullevan's last national, but i actually think it was quite a boring race, very few horses got into it. the best performance here, for me, was by master oats carrying top weight. he gave almost 2 stone to the winner but didnt quite get home similar to 95. the race was marred by the fall of smith's band though. not a vintage national imo.

  • Thank you for uploading. You're right in saying not many got into it, but I wouldn't describe this as boring! It was still exciting to see such a great horse leading from start to finish!

  • @MYBIGKINDHEART Accidents happen. Always do, always will.

Like Paul Nicholls said, "It doesnt matter how safe you make the M1, M2, M4 or any other road, accidents will always happen. The National is the same"

  • That must be about the best individual performance in a Grand National

  • would it be nice if the racecourse is full again i mean the whole of the racecourse like provis years the centre of course .etc. but what do all think

  • and did you know that the company that makes whiskas cat food gets first option on the horses who have to be put down?

  • @Katabatic77 - I am pleased that you give Lord Gyllene credit cos I predicted him to win the National following his victory that you mention over Mudahim. I seem to remember him finishing second at Uttoxeter after that, beaten by a useful horse of Mary Reveley's. I told everyone to back him in National as he ticked so many boxes. He was proven over the distance, jumped well, had a good jockey on board and, remember, had only ten stone to carry. I got winner this year but Lord Gyllenne is my fave.

  • @comeonshaymen if they are so built tto withstand the falls, then why is it then that some get killed

and also put down through an injury

  • 1 faller on the way to Becher's. FTW?? Must've been class jumpers

  • @MYBIGKINDHEART My God, what a retarded thought. The whole point of NH is to jump. Yes, they have bumpers, but they are the most boring aspect of NH. Fallers are a part of racing. NH Horses are built to withstand the falls, and its completely unpridctable when or where a falls

  • Thats a pretty nasty fall by Smith's Band at 5:40
