You're wrong buddy. These guys are private security guys working for a private company. They may be retired cops, but they can't act like cops when they're working for a private security guard company wearing a private company's uniforms. The only power they have while working for BID is a citizen's arrest. But we all have that.
These guys will be sued one day and A.I. will be gone from the public streets and public sidewalks.

@artemusbell Well, you're actually wrong. Hollywood's Business Improvement District is staffed with off duty and retired police officers who maintain peace officer status, and therefore have full powers of arrest under PC 836.

just got pulled over today and apparently asking questions of why you are being stopped is suspect for a misdemeanor. If you ask questions you could be cited with misdemeanor and arrested. Here is the info of the officer: SGT McCallum Badge # 4183, serial #: 27617, Los Angeles Police Department. I did not resist or disobeyed, but she said I did for asking a few questions of why I was stopped.
