  • Huh? Emperor's champion is an independant character- per 5th Ed rules he can join a unit. 5 man marine squad + EC goes in a razorback.

  • @WayOfSaimHann Not to be a douche but in the codex it says that: "The Emperor's Champion always fights as an independent character and may never be attached to a Command squad" so he can't be attached to a squad of any type, it doesn't however mention anything to do with starting off in a land raider or razorback... whatever you want. What I am a little hazy on however is whether you can put a separate independent character in the same tank as another squad... any enlightenment would be useful.

  • @guitargenius1234 He fights as an IC and can't join a command squad, but he can join another squad like terminators, or the marine squad in the razorback as long as there is room. So he works just like a regular IC. In the case of the vid, he started joined to the squad in the razorback.

  • @Eminor31415

Always an independent character meets he can not join a command squad. Read your facts

  • put in a chaplin in with lighting calw turmes

  • WOOOOOOO templars all the way

  • emperors champion has the spicial rule:

    allway's an idenpenden charakter...

theres nothing to argue. he cannot join anything anywhere, never. he must stand, allways, alone...

liked the clip though >:-) i'me building a Black Templars army, currently, but havend played them, or against them, yet. actually so the antisipation is great.

  • great review ;0)

  • @WayOfSaimHann This is one of the ONLY reasons why fielding Sword Brethren (BT Veteran squad basically) ever makes sense as they can basically work as a roundabout command squad. Still SB aren't great. I prefer to run the Emperor's Champion along with Helbrecht in a horde squad of 10 marines + 10 neophytes and walk/run them behind tanks, LRCs etc. Also, since Command Squads are ridiculously expensive once you kit them out anyways, it's not a big deal that EC can't go with a CS.

  • I am new to this. but i play dark angels can he be an independent character w/ power sword and combat sheild. a chaplain and a standard bearer all indepents. how many points would the champion be. thanks :)

  • Focus ?

  • I remember back in 4th edition when I took on a caenifex with my EC and won.

  • Doesn't a Grey Knights Force Weapon give them +2 Strength as well? so his sword really isn't special when a whole troops choice can get it =(..
