This is a short story about collecting mountain mushrooms in a very small village in Nagano mountains. In the winter they have between 5-10meters of snow here. Very difficult place to live, but the summers are very fertile meaning every step you take something will move ha ha. mushrooms are just one type of mountain vegetables/food that's collected - but there's no one more knowledgeable than Yamashiro-sensei when in comes to fungus^-^. We need to be extremely careful when entering these areas, as 1 or 2 locals usually disappear each year doing similar things. Very valuable resource but needs caution.
