  • In your situation, if you have less then 3 mortar symbols, you will have to release someone (and it could even be a healer if you want, you get to decide).

When you use a card from your hand, you get to choose between either an elder or a young person. The elder has a better benefit, but the younger moves you up further on the person track.

I haven't tried mixing the peace month cards. It would seem impossible to get an "engine" started if you had to deal with person loss in the beginning.

  • This is probably one of the best reviews I've seen. You explained it so elegantly. Great job!

  • Great Review. I went and bought the game based on this review. This game is awesome. The design and the game play is a work of sheer genius.

  • Could you further explain the use of the healers? I had a situation where I had two healers, a craftsman and a farmer between two, two floored palaces. Contagion struck, do the healers save the farmer, the craftsman and themselves or does one person still have to leave my court? To get to the elders on the persons cards you must use all the younger workers first before being able to access the elders cards? Have you ever tried mixing the month cards up so that peace wasn't always first?
