No. That wasn't the point. A big tent that includes every point of view has no core. We have a point of view - it is a progressive view of America. A fiscally responsible and economically sound country with a firm but clear foreign policy that protects its citizens' liberties.

I work hard to convince folks that what the Democratic Party stands for is a lot of diversity....but not all things are okay. If you don't believe in the government's role in protecting personal liberties, equal opportunity, and fiscal responsibility, the Democratic Party may not be for you.

I do not think that the democrat party should be forcing their views at the risk of taking away others. That is the problem. If the Dems were truly for what you state that would be good but they are not, they just speak it. They don't act it. And the Dem party is certianly not known for fiscal responsiblity. My problem is really with all politicians Liebarman is now worse nor no better then Obama or Bush.
