Hey bananaman - What many/most of Democrats don't like about Lieberman is not that he stands up for what he believes in....that, we're quite proud of in all Americans. He's not one of us...he's an Independent (at best) and a GOPer (at worst). So, he can't take up one of OUR seats on senate committees...time for him to move on. You're welcome to this dishonorable man. We're done with appeasement.

That is your opinion and you are entitled to be wrong. Practice what you preach and be the big tent party you used to be. It is democrats like you that have chased away any diversity of view. And what do you mean by your done with appeasement??? Isn't that they whole purpose of voting in Obama????

No. That wasn't the point. A big tent that includes every point of view has no core. We have a point of view - it is a progressive view of America. A fiscally responsible and economically sound country with a firm but clear foreign policy that protects its citizens' liberties.

What do you not understand about appeasement? We don't need to keep Lieberman around because we don't want to offend an old friend. This man is dishonorable. Seems to me he fits in with you all perfectly.

Bananaman - Apologies for the last sentence. I don't know you but was reacting to your attack "It is democrats like you...". You don't know me. I work hard to convince folks that what the Democratic Party stands for is a lot of diversity....but not all things are okay. If you don't believe in the government's role in protecting personal liberties, equal opportunity, and fiscal responsibility, the Democratic Party may not be for you.

I do not think that the democrat party should be forcing their views at the risk of taking away others. That is the problem. If the Dems were truly for what you state that would be good but they are not, they just speak it. They don't act it. And the Dem party is certianly not known for fiscal responsiblity. My problem is really with all politicians Liebarman is now worse nor no better then Obama or Bush.

no, conservative jewish people, the good ones believe judaism is a religion and should be integrated into other nations in a peaceful manner as they have throughout history, now the conservative ones believe they should massacre palastinians and have the middle east to themselves.
