This Weeks Bible Question: Can someone harboring deep unforgiveness from childhood be saved? And how do you minister to someone with unforgiveness and bitterness in their hearts?

http://www.nogreaterjoy.org Bible Questions with Michael Pearl. A weekly show that answers all questions about the bible - but don't come looking for his opinion - because only the Word of God will suffice. Taking away the mysticism of what the Bible says we present to you some questions most every American Christian has - along with stranger topics like angels, wizards, giants, and creation. Submit your question to biblequestions@nogreaterjoy.org or call and leave a brief question at (931) 805-4820

  • Forgiveness is commanded of God. Jesus said of his offenders "Father forgive them for they know not what they do." I don't recall the Pharisees and the Roman Soldiers ever coming to him and asking forgiveness.

  • I have never heardof forgiveness being a sin in certain contexts before.

  • @Enoch2 I agree

  • @lambchopxoxo Amen. Love to you.

  • @cryout2Him Yeah but who receives the benefit of Jesus' sacrifice? Those who repent and believe.

  • @cryout2Him You can't confess sin that you don't realize is there. That is why Jesus wanted forgiveness for them, they were unaware.

  • LOL! I love the way he makes reference to how a possible repentant child molester might ask for forgiveness. I have to agree that molesters need to be castrated and sentanced to death.

  • What about when Jesus said "Father forgive them for they know not what they do" Luke 23:34? It doesn't seem like those crucifying Him were confessing and repenting.
