Scene 9: INT. London Museum. After the Lapdance Club, Alice (Jackie Jandrell) has been traipsing around with Larry. She invites him to a museum on his birthday, which becomes a "surprise" encounter between Larry and his ex-wife Anna, (Kirsty Hinchcliffe) followed by a pre-arranged meeting Alice set up with Anna. We enter the scene after Larry has left the building...
NOTE: My favorite scene from Closer. Directing is so personal, & here I wanted to rip a hole in the flawed notions about chemistry and falling in love. I also loved Annas self-revelation this is what were dealing with, about men and their baggage. This scene was an apology to my old loves too. And Im proud we brought out the comedy. Note Jackie Jandrells range in this scene and scene 7. Kirsty is fabulous as Anna.

About Closer: Written by Patrick Marber, the award winning play, set in contemporary London, explores the minutiae of sex and the geometry of relationships in the entanglement of four people: Dan (Mark Kay), an obituary writer about to launch his first novel, his girlfriend Alice (Jacqueline Jandrell), a mysteriously young erotic stripper, Anna (Kirsty Hinchcliffe), a photographer in her mid-thirties whose favorite subject are strangers, and Larry (Stefan Hajek), a dermatologist, who claims to be a clinical observer of the human carnival. A series of chance encounters act as a catalyst for emotional motion between the four characters and the reaction caused by the shock of sexual passion painfully reveal the underscoring of sex in each life.
Trivia: The movie "Closer," directed by Mike Nichols, was based on Marber's stage play.
Is there anyone you could possibly send me this scene (like the script for this scene)? I need it desperately for an acting class!
