Kate Smurthwaite's point is intellectually valid: IF the preacher's mumbo jumbo is TRUE that "ALL aborted babies go to heaven"... BUT for those of us who are actually born then most of us go to HELL (since most humans do NOT accept Jesus as their personal savior)....
THEN yes, aborting babies guarantees them heaven, while letting them be born makes it LIKELY that they will go to hell.

This just show what silly superstitious nonsense religion is.

Ok, listen up people, you've all got it wrong. God is all knowing, so he knows if an aborted baby would have grown up to become a Christian/Muslim/Hindu/Mormon/­atheist or whatever. So people aren't judged for what they actually did or didn't do/believe but for how God created them to eventually do/believe if they got a chance to live long enough to do/believe these things.

I wonder what Calvinists think of this (I think they have a strong sense of it being pre-determined whether one will go to heaven or hell, since [as you note] God already knows in advance of creation who will end up being worthy of heaven.

Then you would need to explain exactly when this mythical soul becomes "sinister" (your word) and thus deserving of hell.

Dodie, you assume that Thor, Zeus, Allah, Ra, Vishnu, Ganesh, etc. are "false gods". But don't you realize that billions of your fellow humans believe that your Yahweh/Jesus are "false gods", from *their* perspective.
