Pastor Jan Paulsen, world president of the Seventh-day Adventist Church talks about miracles and challenges posed by the world of science and the world of faith.
Pastor Paulsen seems to hold the mistaken belief that science is an ideology. It's not -- it's a tool that we use to understand our universe. For Christians, science is a gift from God that we can use to understand His Creation. We should not be afraid of it. We should embrace it and be thankful.
I wish Pastor Paulsen took time in this video to first stress that faith is an element present in EVERY worldview, because there is still so much observable data that contradicts the theories of naturalistic science that are built on a godless paradigm. Hence the necessity of faith to fill in the want. Paulsen seems to be saying faith is primarily needed to protect the benefits of our belief in miracles, but I think this should be 2nd to defending the necessity of faith since we don't know all.
