With Canadians enduring pain for months and years while they wait for surgery, traveling to the U.S. for treatment, entering "lotteries" to get a doctor, and getting "wait list insurance," is Canada really a model for U.S. health reform?

  • @simontimon2 or rather works with the FCC to keep it regulated within communications ( telephone, the internet, etc )

How would you feel about paying a few hundred $ per month to use the internet, because, gosh, someone needs to profit off of it?

  • @dirksilver Don't have any problem w/ free market approach to business, but still goes w/o saying: healthcare should *NEVER* be a "for profit" business. I agree we have the best health care in the world, but *only* for those who can afford it. It is ill-minded and sick to not care for those who are sick or injured and just let them suffer or die because they don't have the funds themselves.

    We're all in it together.

  • I like this better then they amarican health care system, witch is the worst in the world for developed countrys

  • Most of the developed world has universal healthcare. America's system is simply run on greed

  • America - I am a Canadian and we have great health care. Don't believe the crap they are trying to sell you. Cut out your insurers, government pays doctors and hospitals directly and you will do fine.

  • @WCBvictim meanwhile, there are dozens of Marlene Stephens in US waiting rooms every day, LOL.

  • @MadHabber93 well said, this video is nothing but insurance industry funded propaganda. If only Americans knew how much they get ripped off, they would be rioting in the streets right now.

  • US medical care is excellent. Except nobody can afford it and get screwed by insurance companies, LOL. But I won't say anything else on this video, I don't want the Americans to stop clinging on to their desperate lies as it would burst their bubble.

  • @UpstairsMaid While the American system is not perfect it is the finest in the world. The Capitalist model always brings out the best quality unfortunately there is always the issue with funding for the poorest amongst us. I am confident that once the Conservatives get in power and through out the unsustainable Socialist modeled Obamacare it will be replace with the best possible Conservative/Socialist compromise possible. Thanks for the civil discussion as i rarely get that from Libs.

  • @UpstairsMaid Thanks for the advice but that was my approximate age intentionally off as are any other details I give close but not accurate for obvious reasons. No one is ever denied emergency service they will be sued later but you will not go untreated. I am quite familiar with Hospitals in Ontario and Quebec as I lived there for years and also visited there many times along with Canadian friends and relatives that still live there.
