Former Clinton White House adviser Paul Begala took issue with the "tea parties." Apparently, he's confused about a few things, including American history and the meaning of patriotism.

  • Interesting comments, hitch4645. There's nothing wrong with a progressive tax because everyone does it? Do you apply that moral standard to everything? Regarding the Clinton taxes, are you suggesting that higher marginal tax rates are better for the economy? Also, like your comrade, ipbalkenende, you've got your facts wrong about who is to blame for the current crisis. If you think this mess was the ressult of one political party, you really don't understand our system of government.

  • @JohnR22926, go easy with the ad hominems. Your point comes off much better without the name-calling. I served in the Navy for 6 years, thus I'm not offended by foul language, so my objection isn't about that. Rather, it's about making the best argument and defense of your position.

  • I'll rephrase: Your [favorite] video is interesting. Unserious and shallow, yet interesting nonetheless. I suggest you refrain from engaging in debate about anything other than testicles, since I see that's your [favorite] area of expertise. Perhaps you could forward me your Masters thesis on teabagging? I'd be interested in hearing about your family history with the practice. In the meantime, you may want to widen your interests a little. Perhaps foreign policy or economics?

  • Lastly, although we want to cut defense spending, we dont want to cut veteran affairs spending. In fact we want to increase it. What we want to do is reduce wasteful spending that the defense department is so famous for. And we dont want to spend a trillion dollars in iraq.

  • What you said about our founding fathers is also insane. They were being completely oppressed and were not represented in their government. Conservatives are more than represented in America and when you guys do when elections you use your power far more than liberals (although usually to a harmful effect). That analogy doesnt work at all. btw our founding fathers were liberal.

  • This is ridiculous. The people at those tax parties where complaing about raising taxes when it wouldnt effect them. There is nothing wrong with a progressive tax, its used in damn near every nation on this planet. Obama just wants to restore taxes back to where it was under clinton, when our economy was in good shape. and, btw, it was the conservatives that ruined this economy, not liberals. Deregularion is one of the major reasons for the ecomonic collapse.

  • Begala is a shill and a hack. He was one of the "squeaking heads" on Crossfire for years.

Here's a news flash Belgala: Many at the Tea Parties aren't selfish...hard to be "selfish" when you're flat broke. Many of them object to writing a check for more taxes...because they're flat broke...unlike the multi-millionaire cocksucker Begala.

Typical limousine liberal...sneering at the Middle Class...those pesky uneducated cattle that just...won't...do...what they're told.

  • But then again I guess it's to be expected of a conservative to simply ignore facts that go against his ideology.

As much as I'd like to I can't take credit for the video it's just the first (and so far only) vid I've faved on my new account.

Anyway it's telling how my comment has been exclusively about economics or economic policy yet you immediatly bring up the issue of your teabagging hobby and nothing else.

  • Your video is AWSOME and dead on. Only problem is, your most likely going to get ripped on Youtube. Good points and I agree with your views. Keep up the great work!
