An early morning of sand riding in Atlantis. Took a back route in, met up with some guys and had a great time

  • Sweet video dude. Which model is your bike?

Looks like it weighs quite a bit.

    I'm on a husqvarna wr125 with 100kg wet :)

  • @nomad27 Well, it has twice the weight of yours, but, with nearly 6 times the power. On open clean sand it's brilliant.

  • Nice ride!!! BTW how was that KLR doing in the sand? I own one and I know that it doesn't handle good in loose terrain due to the 200 kg and barely 44 hp...

  • The chap who rides it, outrides almost all of the other DS riders I have seen on these dunes no matter what bike. He has no problems at all and is very competent on sand. Its technique not the bike.

  • Very cool video!!! What type of helmet cam are you using??? I've got a similar setup, but the sound isn't very good.

  • I have a Tourx3. The camera tube is mounted with the supplied velcro you get with the camera.

The cable is routed via my helmet in between the cheek pad and the helmet. The mic (which is on the cable) sits just to the left of my mouth. It is then routed out and to my left breast pocket where the recorder sits.

  • Thanks for the quick reply Kamanya. I'm not able to find (google) the Tourx3. Is this the manufacture or model? Did you get the camera online? Also, what type of recorder are you using? Thanks again for the info!

  • Excellent vid, love your work!

That vault over the bars is classic.
