"So this is where it happens..." Joseph walked up to the cameras with Taylor standing next to him.
"Wow..." Taylor walked around and admired the cameras and the blank set up behind them. She still felt nervous around Joseph.
"Yup... Youll be experiencing it from their point of view on Wednesday" Joe smiled.
"I can't believe it..." Taylor said quietly and smiled.
"What?" he laughed a little
"Oh just that I get to do this.." she laughed nervously.
"You'll do great!" He smiled to her
Taylor felt herself turn bright red as he smiled at her. She just smiled at him. She could think of a million things to say to flirt back but there was no way to get her to say them.
"So are you from around here or just visiting Carrey?" He asked while he played with the camera.
"Uhh no... I mean I'm visiting... From Arizona..." Taylor smiled, still blushing.
"Awesome... We should go-" Taylor looked up at him right when he said that but he was cut off.
"Joey!" A high pitched voice called out to him.
Joe stopped smiling and taking and turned around to the girl Taylor saw earlier in the dressing room.
"Ash..." Joe smiled a little at her
"Joey you said you would show me around!" Ashely raised her eyebrows at 'Joey'
"I'm kind of in the middle of something..." Joe turned to her
"Oh... Its you." Ashley glared at Taylor.
Joe raised his eyebrows at her.
"Hi..." Ashley sighed, "I'm Ashely..." She forced a smile
"Taylor..." Taylor sighed. She should of known Joe would have a girlfriend already.
"Come on! You said you would come meet my parents!" Ashley pulled Joe away.
"Taylor I-!" Joe tried to say something to her but Ashley pulled him into the crowd.
Taylor stood there alone in the shoot area. She walked away into the crowd. She was used to seeing the gorgeous guy has a gorgeous girlfriend, it was nothing new. But it hurts just as bad every time. She knows she shouldn't care or feel this way, but she can't help it.
Taylor woke up the next morning to Carrey telling her she was going out for a meeting today. Taylor had thought about him all night. She didn't know him very well but for some reason she couldn't stop thinking about him. She didn't know why but his girlfriend made her want to stop thinking about him.
Taylor left a note for Carrey, ready to go for a walk down the beach. Taylor walked down the beach and splashed her feet in the water. Not thinking, not worrying.
"Hey" A voice came from next to her. Taylor looked up and saw Demi.
"Oh hi" Taylor smiled a little
"Whats up?" Demi smiled
"Nothing just bored" Taylor laughed a little
"Well I'm headed to downtown to go shopping? Wanna come? My friends ditched me anyways" Demi shrugged
"Oh sure!" Taylor smiled.
"We need to get you some new clothes anyways!"
"Oh right!" Taylor laughed.
This was the first time someone was making an effort to hang out with Taylor. She wasn't being ditched and no one was making excuses.
"So did you just move here or vacation or...?" Demi asked while she was going through clothes in H&M
"Vacation for the whole summer down here..." Taylor walked around
"Oooh fun! With the family?" She smiled
"No... My parents kind of told me to come down here in a way... I'm with a family friend" Taylor looked down
Demi could tell she hit a nerve, "Oh I see... You having fun so far?" Demi smiled and picked up a shirt
"Totally... I went to my family friend's fashion party yesterday..." Taylor smiled
"Fashion party!? Awesome! Were there models? Like guys models?" Demi grinned
"Yup a few!" Taylor blushed
"You are so lucky. Did you meet anyone?" Demi raised her eyebrows, expecting a yes
"Kinda... I mean I don't know if I like him... but he's cute" Taylor giggled
"Details" Demi walked over to her
"His names Joe... He sets up cameras for fashion shoots... he's nice but... I don't know..." Taylor sighed.
"But what!? Talk to him more!" She squealed, she loved talking about this stuff.
All Taylor's friends always tell her she should talk to guys more so she could actually have her first boyfriend but it wasn't that easy for Taylor. She wouldn't know the first thing to say.
"His girlfriend was there" Taylor rolled her eyes
"Ugh. Eff her..." Demi rolled her eyes, Taylor started laughed.
Taylor picked up a floral sun dress. "Ooh so cute!" Demi took it out of her hands, "You have to try this on!" She handed it to Taylor
"Okay okay..." Taylor laughed and went into the dressing room.
Taylor tried it on and it was a perfect fit, along with her perfectly curled hair from last night.
"You have to buy this. Step one to your new wardrobe..." Demi smiled and walked with her to the register
"Youre sure?" Taylor hesitated
"Positive!" Demi smiled.
Having her first real friend in a long time was refreshing.
