  • dont wanna be rude or anything but... Next time you go out in 10 knots plus of wind, pull the main on more, the sb3 is pretty much the same with the main as a 29er. and 49er

have the end of the main at the back corner of the boat or about one foot off...

they are hell fun to sail ay guys...

  • Thanks for that, we were out for a bit of a blat, we werent actually raicng in the SB3 Class but thought we'd go for a spin given the chance ;)

  • WHATS THE SPEED ?

  • no idea.... but it was fun. bout 18knts of wind

  • thats more then 270 kg.

  • Yeah, but we just went out for fun. The event we were training for was not the in the sb3, we just had an opportunity to go out for a spin so we did :)

  • Everyone's an expert. Comments are unbelievable!

  • I'm not sure I entirely agree... It depends on the point of sail and how powered up you are. It does look quite reachy so you could well be right about trimming on but if you're overpowered, letting the main luff would be the right thing to do. Having said that they were 4 up and 18kts of breeze should be fairly manageable...
