  • One of the best slasher movies ever along with The Burning,My Bloody Valentine,The Prowler,Black Chrismas, andTourist Trap.

  • Movies do not need gore to be scary. Tension and a good unexpected scare is all a good horror movie needs.

  • Love this movie so good hidden jewel

  • excellent slasher

  • @Luigi84289 You have a point. Just Before Dawn, Tourist Trap and Black Christmas are all creepier in my opinion. Though Black Christmas is the best for sure, Tourist Trap and Just Before Dawn are great as well. Those three have better atmosphere. I don't think The Burning is good as those three, but it is about as good as The Prowler and My Blood Valentine. I do like My Bloody Valentine better than The Burning and The Prowler though.

  • @KaguraImmortal I don't know why people praise the burning so much it isn't nearly as good as the rest you posted.

  • This film is one of the best stalk and slash horrors. Superior to Friday 13th in atmosphere and production despite it's low budget. The spooky opening synth theme by Brad Fiedel is worth the price of admission alone.

  • This is one the scariest horror films i have seen.

  • Oh hey, that's the guy from Sleepaway Camp--the creepy coach.

  • Did that knife just come out that guy's ass?

  • The hillbillies in this film remind me of my mother in law

  • @glw23 I agree 100% I work at Blockbuster and someone asks me for a scary movie I suggest anything with Hannibal Letcher. Yes there is splatter, but its the story & Hopkins that scare the hell out of you.
