What a fantastic cast and interesting interpretation. So different from the amazing Canadian Stratford one I saw a few weeks ago, and yet still able to withstand multiple viewings in quick concession...
Strangely enough, amongst the Jacobis and Oliviers of this cast, I find myself particularly intrigued by this Solyony. A fantastically subtle, poignant and memorable performance by this actor, IMHO.
I'd love to see the rest of this posted, if you ever got the chance. Thanks so much for this.

Masha is in black because she's unhappy.. she wouldn't find any reason to wear any other colour, she understands how hopeless their future is, and that depresses her, she is all cynical.
