Unearthed: 1970 Bathurst 500 vision

Bathurst 1970 was a battle between the Falcon GT-HOs, Torana XU-1s and Valiant Pacers. Here's a unique view of the action supplied to AMC by reader Michael Dariz. It comes from an 8mm soundless film reel shot at the Mountain shot by a TV crew member with his own gear. "Friends of mine gave me this reel a while back because they knew I love the muscle car era," Kariz said. "The person who filmed this was contracted to a TV station back then and the reason he did his own filming during his breaks was to try and decide what car he was going to buy. The things people do!"
