Can a Late 2008 aluminum MacBook read More than the Apple stated 4GB limit? the answer is yes, it can read up to 6GB of RAM and be stable, it can also read 8GB but will have problems, if my friend lends me his RAM ill make another video with mine on 8GB of RAM to see if it has problems like many have claimed in their tests. it would be interesting to see what happens, maybe many kernel panics on 8GB.

  • It can hold up to 6gb......I just bought a 4gb stick myself because my stock 2gb was very, very sluggish because I like to have a lot of applications open and run windows via parallels.

Though I must say I just upgraded to an intel ssd, and the performance boost was amazing! I don't get the beach ball anymore and that is still with my 2gb of RAM....I should be getting my 4gb stick later next week, cannot wait!

How has the performance been for you? And great video!

  • @snakedoc1306 it runs alot faster now especially when running many programs at once. i do see a great improvement on the windows 7 partition gaming wise. you wont be dissapointed.

  • nice post.. what are those 5 sub folders with icons on the right of dock? thx

  • @yodder89 those are the stacks, google stack drawers, yull find how to put icons on the stacks to make it like like drawers.

  • How did u get 5gb of ram

  • @thomasmovesinc the macbook has two slots, put a 4GB stick on one slot and on the other the factory 1GB stick (in my case). its 4GB+1GB, now i have 6GB (4GB+2GB). the recomended max RAM for a late 08 macbook. go to OWCmacsales and there you can find out how mucho more RAM can you add to your Mac
