Guiding Light - Character Profiler: Abby Blume

A new year brings a new opening. When I created the first profiler, Jenna Bradshaw, I never new it would as widely accepted than it has been. This year there will be plenty more.
This profiler is of a very unique character and actress. Abby comes from Goshen. She was introduced with the return of Reva. It isn't the fact that she's Amish that makes Abby unique. She came onto the scene deaf, as well as the actress Amy Cox Ecklund. We got to see Abby's amazing transformation throughout the few years on the show. What is your favorite Abby moment.

does anyone know if during her time on the show Abby had any other romantic tie other than RIck? IF she didn't she must be one of the only characters like that.

She did not. Rick was her one true love on the show. I don't even think she had crushes on any of the other characters.

Hi,I had closed my youtube account but I opened a new one partly inspired by a trailer on tv with a song that u used in the Annie vid. It reminded me how great some of these are. Nice choice of doing Abby and I hope to see more characters from 80s and 90s soon.

Wow, thanks for doing a profile on Abby! I was 13 or 14 when she first came on the show and I just adored her and Rick's love story...well until the show went and mucked it up at the end. :D Shame they weren't together at the end of the show.

I really like Abby and liked her marriage to Rick. I am glad though that Rick ended up with Mindy at the end though. My one problem with Abby is I have a hard time believing that an Amish girl would change that much. I live near Amish and never known any to break that so far away from their religion.

Like the new intro, except you cut Danny, but added Michelle, so I guess it's a wash. I loved the early Rabby story. Abby really was Rick's best wife. I wanted her to come back for the finale, esp. since their big issue was having kids & now Rick had them & ignored them. Love that scene when Abby 1st hears, esp. pulling the Klennex. I think Abby believing Rick, but problems too deep anyway, best part of their story that it wasn't Claire's cheap trick that split them up. Love the costume party.
