  • In my experience it is not harmless., especially for children and teenagers, and especially for people who needed to think clearly and scientifically. It certainly impaired me during my pursuit of a Biology Ph. D. I probably would not have finished if I had not quit. It temporarily relieved anxiety but increased social anxiety for weeks after. It impaired my ability to do statistics & write complex sentences. That said, it makes no sense for people to go to jail for it.

  • @nazrat07 Thanks for a sensible response. A lot of my clients tell me that it turns them into couch potatoes and the only thing they look forward to every evening. Some people use it to go to sleep. Some clients say that once it takes hold of them then it's virtually impossible to quit. Most of my clients have gone to alternative therapies or tried all of the daft methods offered by the NHS and failed. We are the last resort for our clients and we make it incredibly easy for our clients to quit.

  • I am amazed at how hot and bothered people become when you mention quitting cannabis. Before you write think of this: 1. If people are happy smoking cannabis or they can come off cannabis by themselves then I don't hear from them - not my business. 2. People who need my help call me, I don't go knocking on peoples doors. 3. If people have tried to quit smoking cannabis and failed (yes, I know a lot of you say it's not addictive - try tell them that) then I charge them a fee to help them quit.

  • Id like to add---the saying "teach a man to fish and he'll eat for a lifetime" applies 100 % to addiction......Teach a man that no organization, or alternative drug, or PERSON other than himself can get him sober and he'll stay sober for a lifetime....teach him that he needs YOU or an organization to get him of weed and he'll stay off weed for months until he relapses...any you repeat becomes an addiction? what about repeatedly seeing a drug therapist...doesnt THAT become and addiction?

  • @TheGreatDeciever55 No my friend it does not work that way. It only works if the client wants to overcome his/her addiction. Most people never smoke again after the 2h therapy. People who quit in 2002 are still in remission without any further help.

  • I have a marijuana problem...I don't have any right now, that's the problem!

  • I smoked weed day in day out for around 8 years solid. I stopped about 4 years ago. I 100% believe that weed is not addictive. A lot of people tend to blur the line between addiction and habit... which are two different things. No one is addicted to biting their nails... it's a habit. And weed is something that develops into a habit when it becomes part of a persons every day routine. Anyone who really WANTS to quit will do so. I found it very surprisingly easy to break the habit.

  • @CanadianDominion The therapist already knows this thank you very much. That's why hre wrote a book called addictions, the addictive truth which is freely available on his website - look at the contents of the website for the book, read it, educate yourself then you will stop leaving verbal diarrhea like this all over this place. It took a year to research addictions and it took three months to write this book. The mental side of an addictions accounts for 95% and the physical side 5% if that.

  • @walmartian555 you get no round of applause from me
