@AlgerianRelief - they didn't become Algerians...they became Muslims to survive. That's how Islam works...convert the pagans and heathens right? It's ironic that the USA had to build a navy to stop you guys from raiding it's merchant ships repeatedly. Even when they tried to settle diplomatically they were told that it won't happen because Muslims can do what they please to non-Muslims.

@BABARRYeuropeanslave - where did you get the figure of 125 million? Most historians say the slaves taken from Europe by Muslims equals around 10-15 million from the 8th century to the 19th Century.

This of course still doesn't show the Muslims as nice guys. They have been invading Europe since the 800s but whine like little girls every time you mention the crusades or colonialism...which happened in response to their aggression.

Our great sailors, Baba Oruç, and Hızır Reis..These were the guys who defeated entire armadas of European Crusader ships. The moors there were poorly equipped and really not much of a threat when they conquered the coasts...Sometimes they welcomed them because they protected them against the spanish, but most of the time they hated us because we were Turks, and they were all like so proud of their arab heritage, however were not really the brightest.
