Since the day five years ago that I saw my first camera at the Kakuma refugee camp in Kenya I have been followed by cameras.

Christopher Quinn interviewed me for years in the making of God Grew Tired of Us, capturing my most personal moments from adjusting to America to being reunited with my mother.

So when the first volunteers were leaving to go to my home village in Sudan to build the Duk Lost Boys Clinic I decided to turn the camera around and interview them.

  • wow. Today I watched God Grew Tired of us. And-- here you are! Building a clinic! You surely do stand tall~

  • Yesterday I watched God Grew Tired of Us. So cool to find you here! Your struggle and your journey really touched me. All of you are an inspiration. God bless you!

  • Amazing movie. I am so grateful to all who worked to get this story heard. It really touched me and I am recommending it to everyone I know. If anyone wants to give me something for Christmas, I tell them to give money to charity instead. The lost boys and girls of Sudan are surely deserving of all our help. Thank you for inspiring me.

  • these are amazing people , thank you for this video
