  • @joshsteinbauer i bet a lot of people understood what burning man was after watching that.

  • @susanbuice ahh nice.

  • @ColoradoRanger well, there was no rape, but one of us got our camera stolen.

  • @sage4000 if you were in a pinch, you could swing by the medic tent, they have a big bowl of condoms to keep you safe from dust-bunny cooties.

  • @PushyMonk HA! yeah, i wanted to keep my Potty-talk to a minimum.

  • @snakepit000 not so. the Burning Man office keeps a pretty tight leash on any media projects that come out of the festival. They hold the authority to either approve or disapprove of any media project angling for commercial release - mostly so that the integrity of the event doesnt get hijacked into a Nike ad or some stupid Stiller-Anistan rom-com.

however, individuals are allowed to film on "personal use" camera tags. see more at the Burning Man website...

  • @jessiep02 Yeah, you need a ticket. and they are pricey!! anywhere from $200-$360. its not the cheapest vacation you could take. on the other hand, the gift economy will quite easily fill up your cup with free booze. and i believe a lot of the money from the tickey goes toward the art - which is on an epic and awesome scale. do a "burning man" search on Flickr to get a sense of the amazing, often interactive, art.

  • @neutermuffin thats hilarious! actually, when we got out there in 2008, we stayed with a camp called Videogasm and they set up a white tarp and had a screening of that Malcolm episode. SOOO GOOD!!

  • @AndersHojsted well, yes and no. its either a week-long event, or its a "place to be" for a week. seems like splitting hairs to me - but i'm no "filosopher". as far as us not getting it, i agree wholeheartedly -- this video is a three minute chunk of an hour long video. it highlights our naivete at the beginning of the trip, and how we come to a slightly better understanding of the space/event and become more comfortable in our own skin.

  • @ivyliterocway thanks. i appreciate the kind words. this episode is basically, the roadtrip out. at the moment, i cant post the footage i got on the playa - the incredible costumes and art and art-cars and whatnot. i'd suggest going to Flickr and doing a search, there are some amazing pics there that would give you a better idea.
